WORKING AT SEA: HOW YOU COULD SWAP YOUR OFFICE FOR A BOAT IN SOUTHERN ITALY THIS OCTOBER
(thelocal.it) Move over, “smart working”. Italy’s remote workers now have the chance to join Zoom calls from the middle of the Adriatic sea, as a competition aims to highlight the benefits of working remotely in southern Italy.
Working remotely was almost unheard of in Italy before the coronavirus outbreak shut down almost all of the country’s workplaces for months. But now many people have adjusted to working from home – often referred to as “smart working” in Italy – and a growing number have decided city living is no longer for them.
Now though, you can take things a step further with “sea working”: working online from a boat.
If you fancy trying it out for yourself, you don’t have to buy your own boat just yet.
