CARDINAL ZEN ON THE SYNOD: “I FEEL DUTY BOUND TO SAFEGUARD…THE SACRED TRADITION OF THE CATHOLIC FAITH”

The Pillar first alerted us to Cardinal Joseph Zen’s letter to fellow bishops about the Synod on Synodality by giving ample extracts from the 6-page letter of the former archbishop of Hong Kong:  https://www.pillarcatholic.com/p/zen-calls-for-synod-bishops-to-petition

And now we have the full Letter by His Eminence. If you had been living in Rome these past two years since the start of the synod, a period that has included press conferences on the synod, interviews with synod officials and official pronouncements, and simply talking to a lot of people, you would know how spot on Cardinal Zen is in his questions and observations.

Here is Cardinal Zen’s Letter of September 21. It will not take that long to read but please, do read it slowly and deliberately so as to truly understand what he is saying.

I am sure it will lead you to prayer for the synod participants!
