PRAY LIKE NEVER BEFORE FOR THE HOLY LAND!
My heart broke today when I got this news from one of the Friars of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land: “Please pray for all of the friars in service in the Holy Land!! Yesterday we just had the Church at Mount Tabor broken in to and the door to the Tabernacle broken open and the ciborium stolen and the Hosts desecrated by being thrown on the floor!”
Our brother in Christ had seen my Joan’s Rome Live video on FB in which I spoke of Mass this morning, feast of Mary, Queen of Palestine and patron of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. Members of the Order were invited to attend the special Mass that was presided over by Abp. Pierbattista Pizzaballa, until recently the Franciscan Custos of the Holy Land but now the apostolic administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem upon the retirement of Patriarch Twal.
