Amazing news today about the Pontifical Yearbook finally being published in digital format as well as the usual printed edition. Anyone who covers the Vatican, works for Vatican City State or the Roman Curia or in a diocese or a parish or a Vatican embassy or Church-related office or institution, always has this volume by their side! On average, the 2,200 to 2,400 pages outline the Church’s structure in Rome and around the world, list dioceses alphabetically with a lot of information about the diocese, the name of the current bishop, how to contact them. etc. Do you want to know about the hundreds of male and female religious orders and congregations? How many embassies do we have abroad? Where are these nunciatures? Who are the Vatican nuncios or representatives? How many dicasteries are there in the Roman Curia? How about a profile of each dicastery and its history. You’ll also find the names and bios of all the members of the College of Cardinals. Does the Vatican have tribunals?
Just for starters…..!

As of December 8, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the Annuarium Pontificium—the Holy See’s official Pontifical Yearbook—is available in a fully digital version, accessible via web browser and mobile app.
The new platform offers data on the Dicasteries of the Roman Curia, Dioceses, Religious Institutes, and Apostolic Nunciatures. The project was jointly developed by the Secretariat of State and the Dicastery for Communication, and was presented recently to Pope Leo XIV.
Accompanied by Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, Substitute of the Secretariat of State, and Msgr. Lucio Adrián Ruiz, Secretary of the Dicastery for Communication, together with other representatives of the two Dicasteries, Pope Leo effectuated the first login and navigated the platform himself.
“Thank you for this work, which will be of great use for many who work in the service of the Church,” said the Pope to those present at the launch event. He encouraged them “to continue with this spirit of service, so that what is born with care and attention may, in time, become an even greater help.” Pontifical Yearbook now available online with information on global Church – Vatican News
